Hello and welcome to DriftwoodSails.
My name is Toni and I live on the North Norfolk coast with my husband, daughter & our black labrador Beau. We are so fortunate to live close to some very beautiful beaches.
Beachcombing has always been a passion of mine. I love to see what the tide has left behind (especially after a storm !) and recycle these 'beach treasures' into my artwork. What began as a hobby a few years ago, has now become a full-time business, and I feel very blessed to be working at something I love every day.
DriftwoodSails creates miniature handcrafted coastal cottages, seaside & harbour scenes, beach huts, wooden lighthouses, driftwood sailboats, poetry art cottages, handpainted beach pebbles & shells. These artworks are created using timber, salvaged wood, naturally weathered driftwood, chalk paint & other beach finds such as frosted sea glass, tumbled sea slate, smooth pebbles, sand & shells. I also use pressed & dried flowers and leaves from the garden, and wildflowers from the coastline.
I still cut all my wood by hand, which makes every artwork truly handcrafted. Each piece is designed, cut & crafted in my home studio, fitted with an original DriftwoodSails wooden tag (or an original stamp), then wrapped & packaged carefully for posting. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I showcase new artworks there. Many of my cottages are made to order but I also try to add new pieces to the shop each week.
